The model labs and cloud vendors will not optimize for IRB rules, PEPFAR data sovereignty, offline-first connectivity, or vertical regulatory regimes. The opportunity is operator-owned AI tuned to the workflows the platforms will never see.
Sovereign data, sovereign skills, installable infrastructure. The systems we install in engagements are the same shape as the systems we want to invest in — installable, transparent, governed by the operator.
Production AI under regulatory or mission constraint is harder than production AI for a SaaS marketing site. We back founders who can ship in the hard contexts the JV consultancies won't touch — and where defensibility lives.
